What are moms saying about Itsy Bitsy Yoga (r) with Miriam

Babies and young children have a natural ability for yoga right
from their first Belly Breath after birth.  They sleep in Child
Pose (after the risk of SIDS has passed, of course), learn to
stand with the aid of Down Dog.  Not to mention their
flexibility!  As we watch them develop throughout their first
few years, it's amazing the number of yoga poses that are
natural for them, but yet, we as adults, struggle with
immensely!  For me, my yoga practice is all about becoming
child-like again, so why not encourage that inner child to never
go away?   Come join us for a fun hour of bonding, nurturing
and developing the baby yogi!

A Letter to My Wonderful Yoga Students and Their Parents:

Typically a letter like this starts “it’s with a heavy heart…”, but
that’s not the case.  My heart and soul feel very lifted and
freed with this decision.

Effective immediately, I will no longer be offering yoga classes
at my current location.  At present I neither have a new studio
nor am I actively looking for one.  Instead I’m electing to leave
the direction of Peaceful Kids Yoga up to grace, knowing that
I will land where I am intended and needed.

My decision to change course is based on many factors, but
primarily because I know the current location is not the right
fit for me or my classes.  In the past year I have compromised
my principles a lot, initially telling myself it was a positive move
overall because so many services to help young families were
being brought together under one roof.

But these benefits are more than offset by drawbacks that
include spending more time protecting the little yogis from the
hazards of too much furniture in the room than I’d prefer.  I
feel it unfortunately has impacted the services I provide to
families.

I want to sincerely thank each of you, who have shared your
time with me.  I truly feel blessed to have been given the
opportunity to watch your families grow and flourish.  Some of
my yogis who have been with me from infancy are now preschool-
age and it has been such a joy not only watching the little ones
grow, but also mom and/or dad develop into the role of parent.
Each age and stage brings with it a whole world of changes and
it has been a treat to be witness to it all unfold.

Aside from my earnest appreciation to you all, I would like to
impart my ongoing reminder to be ever-present in your children’s
lives – “in the moment” as I like to say in class.  Facebook and
Blackberries can wait – childhood cannot!

In the Kundalini tradition, partings always conclude thus:  May
the long time sun shine upon you, All love surround you And
the pure light within you Guide your way on.

Many, Many, Many Blessings to All of You,
